Classes
Part of our Mission Statement reads as follows: “Knowledge of the instrument making craft is imparted
to those that desire to learn in accessible and affordable instrument-making classes and specialty
hands-on workshops. Specialized techniques learned from around the world are not kept secret but
are instead openly shared.”
To this end we offer a variety of classes on instrument making from kits and from scratch. Currently
we have classes scheduled for Acoustic Guitar Building, Electric Guitar/Bass Making, Ukulele Making,
Classical Guitar Building, Build Your Own Banjo, Performing Setups On Your Electric & Acoustic Guitar,
Electric Guitar Electronics & Customizations. Class size is for each is fairly limited so don’t
delay in signing up for a date that works with your schedule. Signing up requires a deposit (refundable)
which may be secured on-line through our site. Since participants may cancel within 14 days of the class
start we will maintain an active standby list.
In the majority of the classes you keep the instrument(s) you build. We will also offer a lower-cost
alternative where one to two instruments will be made by the class. At the end of the class the
instrument will be donated to the Social Justice Army ()
whom will find it a good home for an underprivileged child or young adult.
