Eddie Dirr, a visitor from Middletown, NY has been playing the guitar since 1938. He was taught by his father, a professional musician. He discovered he had perfect pitch since about age 14. At that age, he started playing professionally. He was a Navy musician from 1948 to 1952.

Eddie's favorite guitarists include Django Reinhardt, George Barnes, Tony Mottola, Barney Kessell, Howard Roberts, and Kenny Burrell. He now teaching his grandson, but has taught hundreds of students of guitar for the past 54 years.

Leonard Coppold comes from Montreal,Canada and is 85 years young. Len played for 3 years with world-renowned Oscar Peterson. He also played with the Royal Canadian Air Force Concert Band conducting 4 tours of Europe during WWII. Len has also played with a variety of other well known musicians in New York including Zoot Sims and Bucky Pizzarelli

Len resides in Melbourne and has been seen playing locally mostly with Bill Van Riper at the Sun Shop, or Space Coast Guitar Society. Len played with Bill's student Phil Margy at Bill's memorial concert held in my store this past February. To see Len's chord voicings in the Jazz standards he often plays is truly remarkable.

This may be Eddie's last visit to Melbourne and it may be the last time to see these two legends play together.
