Melissa Austin moved to Central Florida just months ago, from Nashville, TN. Her professional career began as a child, and eventually carried her to Broadway, where she starred in Les Miserables. As a background vocalist, she has shared the stage with Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, CeCe Winans, Faith Hill, and others, and she has performed many musical theater roles, as well being a Contemporary Christian concert artist.

Melissa’s music education includes a Bachelor of Music degree from the prestigious Belmont University in Nashville, as well as private training from New York, Nashville and Atlanta vocal coaches and teachers. She began teaching voice in Nashville, and she is honored to be a part of the teaching staff at J. Michael’s.
